I lost the opportunity to quickly make almost $60,000 because I didn't understand the value of leveraging my credit. Here's what happened...

In the fall of 2001, I was going to buy a 40-acre parcel of land in northwest Arizona at $395 an acre ($15,800 total cost). In addition, I would now own 30 acres of prime Arizona land that would now be worth over $60,000. The total cost of leveraging my credit with monthly minimum payments would have been only $396. Anytime you can get over $60,000 of value for a few dollars a month it's a real good deal. Don't you agree?
